Meet the Team

Bret Willoughby, Accountant, CEO and Founder

Bret Willoughby was originally certified as a CPA in California where he practiced before moving to Mauritania, North Africa for humanitarian work.  Upon returning from life as a global nomad, he and his family settled in Madison, Wisconsin for 20 years.  There he started preparing tax returns for Overseas Americans before the internet existed.

In 1997, he founded Willoughby CPA, LLC.  In July, 2011, he moved his family and business to Olathe, Kansas, a suburb of the Kansas City, and changed the company name to Tax911.com, Inc. This move brought him and his wife, Nancy Willoughby, closer to Nancy's parents.

Bret and his tax team are great. I live in Slovakia as a expat and I am very thankful that they handle my taxes and I completely do not need to worry about it. Thank you guys. Jeremy A.
